Day 01- A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself

1) My mum was convinced I was going to be a boy. She called me Nicholas right from when she found out when she was pregnant. I've always found it ironic that I seem to resist most feminine norms.
2) For the first two weeks of my life, I was Nicolette.
3) My parents changed my name to Nicole after a family friend's daughter but not many people call me that, I'm mostly known by Cole.
4) I was a rock-climbing instructor on an orthodox Jewish camp in the middle of the Arizona desert. Camp America was one of the best things I ever did.
5) I collect bouncy balls from those $2 bouncy ball dispensers at the supermarket. I can't walk past one if I know I have $2 coin...
6) I found out at a family funeral recently that I am related to Russell Crowe and I once threw a phone at someone too which made this even weirder.
7) Europe's The Final Countdown is my ringtone.
8) I'm obsessed with music. The first concert I ever went to was R.E.M in 1994 when I was 12. My parents took me, R.E.M are still my favourite band and was an experience only rivaled by seeing Tom Petty a few weeks ago in Boston or the Pixies earlier in the year in Auckland.
9) I represented Auckland in 3 different sports while I was at school.
10) I'm a math geek. I worked a year ahead in school.
11) I'm very happily married to a man who I once told "would need a strait-jacket if he ever thought we would would get together". Guess I sure showed him...
12) I'm a freaky speed reader. It's annoying, I can read a novel in an hour or two and can't make any book I'm enjoying last because I read so fast.
13) I love to cook for my friends and family and think the best bonding happens while eating good food.
14) I'm regard myself as a total feminist.
15) I'm honestly not sure if I can carry this out for the next 30 days but really want to.
